Absolutely Fabulous

Today's Card was inspired by the Mojo Monday challenge, week 76. See the layout and website information below.

This 'fabulous' card starts out with a Whisper White base. A strip of Kiwi Kiss CS, with Pacific Point CS layered vertically. The crafter's tool kit and guide were used to create the dots down each side of the Pacific Point strip. Natural Hemp Twine is wrapped around both layers.

To
create my own version of Designer paper, I randomly stamped the branch from the Always stamp set onto a square of Kiwi Kiss, with Kiwi Kiss ink. This pretty little bird, also from the Always set, was inked with a Versamark pad and embossed with white powder.

The three circles, also from "Always", were stamped onto Whisper White CS using Pacific Point Ink and punched out with the 1/2" Circle Punch. All three were popped up with dimensionals.
The Kiwi Kiss square was layered onto Pacific Point, which was layered onto Baja Breeze, and finally Kiwi Kiss, again.

The sentiment, from Absolutely Fabulous, was stamped in the lower right corner in Pacific Point ink. Using the hole punch guide from the crafter's tool kit, I was able to create the dot pattern using an Old Olive Stampin' Write Marker. TIP: I didn't have a Kiwi Kiss marker, but since the dots were so tiny they still coordinated beautifully even though they were not an exact match. Experiment with color, not everything has to be matchy-matchy :).

I really like this color combo... and a great take on the sketch to boot.

Great card! I love that stamp set, I don't know why I keep forgetting to order it.

I'm one of the biggest believers that things don't have to be matchy matchy . . . Your bird looks so pretty in white emboss. M
