Happy Mojo Monday!

This adorable (and very popular) set is one of my favorites. It is a hostess level I set which you can earn by hosting a workshop of $150 or more. So band your friends together and put in an order!.

This card was created using the Mojo Monday sketch 82 (below). The card base (scallop punched through both the front and back) is Basic Black card stock, with a layer of Kiwi Kiss striped Rockabilly Designer series paper (also scallop punched).

The focal point was created using Riding Hood Red polka dot DSP (also Rockabilly), matted onto Basic Black card stock. The stem and leaves, from the God's Beauty stamp set, were inked with Kiwi Kiss and stamped onto Whisper White. A paper pierced border (using the crafter's toolkit) gives the piece a little more interest. The flowers (from God's Beauty) were inked using Black Stazon, stamped onto Whisper White, and cut out using paper snips. They were then filled in using a Ruby Red marker. TIP: the Ruby Red marker is a close match to Riding Hood Red (Stampin' Up does not currently sell Stampin' Write Markers for the In-Color line). If you want an exact match, you could always use a blender pen and the corresponding ink pad. Half pearls from the Prettie's Kit make up the center of the flowers and they were popped up using Stampin' Dimensionals. The Whisper White card stock was popped up onto Pink Pirouette with dimensionals, and was given a final matte of Riding Hood Red.

A strip of Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon was adhered to the Kiwi Kiss DSP and wrapped around the edges. The sentiment was inked with Black Stazon and stamped onto a strip of a window sheet (new in the Occasions Mini!). TIP: By stamping the sentiment onto a window sheet, I was able to align it the way I wanted to on the card: with the first line over the white ribbon. The tricky part with window sheets is finding a sneaky way to hide the way you have adhered it. Eyelets or brads are an option, but in this case I ran Snail adhesive the entire length of the taffeta ribbon.

The finishing touch is a Pink Pirouette and Riding Hood Red Fleurette with a White Latte Button in the center. TIP: a tiny sliver of Pink Pirouette card stock was used as "thread" for the button.

Stunning. Do I need the Fleurettes now? Hmmmm . . . . The sentiment on the window sheet really stands out as clever and classy. Hugs, Mary
