Love you Mom!

Today's simple card was inspired by Card Positioning Systems, challenge 113 (below). My pals put a twist on the challenge- to make it a Mother's Day card!

I admit that I do not have any Mother's Day stamps or sentiments. I thought about typing something up, but I remembered that I do have a ton of chipboard letters. Spelling out "Mom" on the front is probably not the most creative thing I could have come up with, but I had to laugh because it reminds me of being a kid again.

The whisper white card base was covered in Elegant Eggplant. The stem border from Summer Love Rub-ons was added in the middle along with two Pale Plum strips of card stock.

A rectangle of Baja Breeze was clipped using a corner rounder punch, and For You, from Great Friend, was inked in Elegant Eggplant and stamped into the upper right corner.

The letters for Mom are made up of On Board Lots of Letters. They were first covered and sanded with Elegant Eggplant. Then they all took a dip in Versamark and were embossed with Iridescent Ice and a Heat Tool.

The finishing touches? Two flowers that were punched out with the Trio Flower punch, and a Baja Breeze Corduroy Button. TIP: A sliver of card stock was used as thread!

Only about a week left until Mother's Day!

Happy Stampin'!
